Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Polokwane. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Polokwane-based, with most of your time spent at an online grocery fulfilment hub.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
