Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak)

You'll keep a busy frozen-food distribution centre in Durban Central stocked, picked and moving out on time. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
