Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a clothing distribution centre in Tembisa. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a clothing distribution centre in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
