Weekly Wages Clerk (Mining Contractor)

Accurate payslips, clean tax filings and happy staff: that's the job at a labour-heavy mining contractor in Worcester. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Worcester, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling
• Release the salary bank file for authorisation

• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll

• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
