Wine Steward (Fine Dining)

You'll look after tables at a sports bar and grill in Bellville, from the first greeting to the final bill. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a sports bar and grill in Bellville. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
