Wine Steward (Fine Dining)

This is a floor job at a hotel restaurant in Gqeberha where your tips follow your service. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a hotel restaurant in Gqeberha. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.

• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
