Yellow Machine Mechanic (Earthmoving Plant)

You'll service and repair heavy diesel vehicles for the agricultural equipment dealer in Atlantis. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The site is in Atlantis; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Inspect tyres, fifth wheels and kingpins for wear and damage
• Fault-find AdBlue and aftertreatment systems on newer engines
• Repair hydraulics on tippers, cranes and tail-lifts
• Carry out pre-roadworthy checks before the vehicle goes for COF testing
• Attend roadside breakdowns in the service truck

• Physically fit for work under trucks and on pits
• Solid understanding of air brake systems
• At least 3 years on heavy commercial vehicles or plant
• Diesel mechanic trade test certificate

• Brand-specific heavy vehicle courses
• PrDP for road tests with loaded vehicles

• Overtime available most weeks
• Heavy-duty tools supplied by the workshop
