Job Description

Keep trucks on the road and earning at the truck dealership workshop in Pretoria West. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a truck dealership workshop on the Pretoria West side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Overhaul brake systems, including air valves, chambers and slack adjusters
Fault-find AdBlue and aftertreatment systems on newer engines
Repair hydraulics on tippers, cranes and tail-lifts
Attend roadside breakdowns in the service truck
Repair gearboxes, differentials and clutches on heavy vehicles

You'll need

Experience with electronic diagnostics on modern diesel engines
Physically fit for work under trucks and on pits
At least 3 years on heavy commercial vehicles or plant
Diesel mechanic trade test certificate
Code 14 licence so you can move and test trucks
Willing to do standby and roadside call-outs
