Access Control Officer (Grade C) – Permanent

You'll control who comes in and out of a construction yard in Midrand, and log every visitor properly. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Midrand, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Clean criminal record
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• Previous experience at a similar site type
• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
