Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Epping in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a business park on the Epping side of Western Cape. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook

Must-haves

Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Calm under pressure and physically fit
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
