Job Description

When a panic button goes off in a suburban residential area in Johannesburg CBD, you are the one who arrives first. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Johannesburg CBD (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren

Must-haves

Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
At least 2 years in guarding or response

Nice if you have

Advanced driving course
First-aid Level 2 or 3
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
