Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a farming district in Roodepoort in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Roodepoort-based, with most of your time spent at a farming district.

What your day looks like

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook

You'll need

PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Calm under pressure and physically fit
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving

Helpful, not essential

Advanced driving course
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
First-aid Level 2 or 3
