Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter) – Fixed-Term

The gate at a distribution warehouse in Tembisa is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Tembisa-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution warehouse. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events

• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Provident fund contributions
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
