Job Description

This vehicle finance collections floor in Brackenfell needs a calm negotiator who can hear "no" without giving up. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a vehicle finance collections floor on the Brackenfell side of Western Cape. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.

What you need

Target-driven and comfortable with commission
Clear credit and criminal record
Matric
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a collections system such as Debtmaster or a dialler platform
Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules
