Customer Service Clerk (Courier Depot)

This private clinic front desk in George needs someone friendly who can fix account problems while the queue moves. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is George-based, with most of your time spent at a private clinic front desk. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.
• Track parcels, reissue waybills and arrange redelivery at the counter.
• Do SIM swaps and RICA registrations with proper ID checks.
• Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
• Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.

• Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end
• Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• Accurate with cash and paperwork
• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead
• Monthly sales incentive on upgrades and add-ons
• Product training and certifications paid for

• Dress as if you already work the counter when you drop off a CV or go for the interview.
• Apply close to home: stores prefer people who can reach the mall reliably for opening and closing shifts.
