Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this vehicle finance collections floor in Bellville and your commission shows it. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a vehicle finance collections floor on the Bellville side of Western Cape.

What you'll actually do

Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Answer disputes about balances, interest and fees with a printed statement.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.

Must-haves

Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
Matric
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Clear credit and criminal record
At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre

Extra points for

Legal collections or attorney-firm background
Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules
A second South African language
