Arrears Negotiator (Vehicle Finance)

This vehicle finance collections floor in Sandton needs a calm negotiator who can hear "no" without giving up. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a vehicle finance collections floor on the Sandton side of Gauteng.

• Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
• Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
• Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
• Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
• Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
• Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.

• You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
• At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
• Matric
• Clear credit and criminal record

• A second South African language
• Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules

• Council for Debt Collectors registration paid for you
• Uncapped monthly commission on collected rands
• Structured weekday hours with only occasional Saturdays
