Job Description

Here in Brackenfell, a meat processing plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The work, day to day

Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages

Must-haves

Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
