Job Description

Cleaning, laundry and a hand with the kids: that is the week in a retired couple's cottage in Cape Town CBD. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Cape Town CBD, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Water indoor plants and feed pets
Change bed linen and make beds
Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals
Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked
Help an elderly person with meals, medication reminders and light walking

Must-haves

Able to handle a full-day physical routine
Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share

Helpful, not essential

Non-smoker
Experience caring for an older person
A driver's licence for school lifts
