Back Office Clerk (Insurance Policies) – Experienced

You'll capture, check and file information for a private hospital records room in Stellenbosch, fast and clean. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Shred and dispose of documents under the retention policy.
• Scan and index files so they can be found by reference number.
• Enter sales orders on SAP or Sage and print picking slips.
• Prepare simple Excel reports on volumes and backlogs.
• Pull and file physical records in date or account-number order.
• Capture claim forms, invoices or delivery notes onto the system.

• Typing speed of at least 35 wpm with good accuracy
• Comfortable with overtime at month-end
• Basic Excel: sorting, filtering and simple formulas
• You can concentrate on repetitive work for a full day
• Careful with personal information and confidentiality
• Six months of admin or capturing work, or a completed learnership

• SAP, Sage or Pastel experience
• Medical terminology or ICD-10 coding basics

• Contracts that often turn permanent for strong performers
• Office hours with overtime paid at the BCEA rate
• Close to public transport routes

• Many capturer ads include an online typing or accuracy test; practise on a free typing site first.
• Unemployed graduates and learnership completers get shortlisted often, so add any YES or SETA learnership you finished.
