Bakery Production Hand (Early Shift) – Experienced

Here in Tembisa, a meat processing plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Tembisa (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects

• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area

• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
