Job Description

Delivery days start early in Rosslyn, and a cement and brick yard needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a cement and brick yard in Rosslyn. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

Must-haves

Friendly with customers at the door
No criminal record
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Willing to travel on routes that return late

Nice if you have

Basic furniture assembly skills
A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
Past work as a driver's assistant
