Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Alberton passes through your hands first. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Alberton-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen-food distribution centre.

• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
