Bar Attendant (Weekend Shift)

You'll look after tables at a hotel restaurant in Somerset West, from the first greeting to the final bill. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
