Job Description

This is a floor job at a sports bar and grill in Cape Town CBD where your tips follow your service. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a sports bar and grill.

What your day looks like

Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.

What you need

Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus

On offer

Staff meal on every shift
Uniform supplied and laundered
You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
