BI Developer (SQL Server and SSIS) – Experienced

Build the SQL, models and dashboards that run the weekly meeting at a short-term insurer in Atlantis. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a short-term insurer in Atlantis. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Build simple forecasting and segmentation models in Python or R
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
• Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
• Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python

• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Advanced Excel

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
• Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit
