Data Scientist (Customer Analytics)

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a microlender in Montague Gardens. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a microlender in Montague Gardens. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
• Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts

• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
• Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Careful with sensitive customer data

• Python with pandas for data wrangling
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
