Job Description

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a group of private schools in Cape Town CBD. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Cape Town CBD, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Write short how-to guides for common user problems
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system

You'll need

Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
