Boom Gate Controller (Industrial Park) – Permanent

Steady 12-hour shifts at a gated residential estate in Tembisa for PSIRA-registered officers. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a gated residential estate on the Tembisa side of Gauteng. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Clean criminal record
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Speaks and writes basic English

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
