Job Description

Out on the road for a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Midrand, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Midrand (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.

What you need

1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
Matric

Helpful, not essential

Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position
A sales or marketing certificate
Existing relationships with independent retailers
