FMCG Sales Representative (Route Sales)

Out on the road for a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Krugersdorp, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Krugersdorp-based, with most of your time spent at a snack and confectionery wholesaler.

• Set up promotional displays and check planogram compliance with photos.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.

• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners

• Speaking two or more local languages
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position
• Existing relationships with independent retailers

• Cellphone and data allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
• Branded uniform and safety boots

• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
