Building Site Supervisor (Commercial Projects) – Immediate Start

Keep the programme on track, the subbies busy and the site safe for the civil engineering contractor in Fourways. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a civil engineering contractor in Fourways. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Keep the site diary, daily labour returns and plant hours up to date
• Run toolbox talks and support the safety officer on Construction Regulations compliance
• Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
• Chair the weekly site meeting and record actions for the principal agent
• Check reinforcing, shuttering and cover blocks before calling for a pour inspection

• You can read architectural and structural drawings and pick up clashes
• Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act
• Code 08 licence and your own reliable transport between sites
• At least 5 years on building or civil sites, 2 of them in a supervisory post
• Good with MS Project or a similar programme tool
• Firm with labour, fair with subcontractors

• Concrete technology short course
• Worked on CIDB grade 6 or higher projects
• Experience on JBCC or GCC 2015 contracts

• Vehicle allowance or company bakkie
• Project completion bonus linked to handover date
• Site accommodation on out-of-town projects
