CCTV Monitoring Officer (Night Roster) – Permanent

From a chair in an armed response control room in Klerksdorp, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at an armed response control room in Klerksdorp. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Log every event and action on the monitoring software
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio

• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• Matric
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures

• Speaking more than one local language
• Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
• Call centre work in the past

• Shift allowance for nights
• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment

• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
• Mention any software you have used: alarm monitoring, CCTV or even call centre systems. Control rooms need people who learn screens fast.
