CCTV Monitoring Officer (Night Roster)

From a chair in an armed response control room in Lephalale, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Lephalale, Limpopo. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement

• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• Matric
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone

• Call centre work in the past
• Speaking more than one local language
• CCTV operator short course

• Training on the monitoring software
• Shift allowance for nights
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment

• Some companies give a typing and map test. Practise finding streets on a map quickly before the interview.
• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
