Job Description

You'll help a pharmacy inside a supermarket in Secunda dispense scripts, manage stock and advise patients at the counter. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Secunda-based, with most of your time spent at a pharmacy inside a supermarket. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Log Schedule 5 and 6 items in the register as they go out
Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
Prepare monthly chronic packs for collection or courier delivery
Do cycle counts and flag stock discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist
Capture scripts on the dispensing system and check them against medical aid rules

You'll need

Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
Accurate with numbers and careful with labels
Friendly and clear at a busy counter
Understanding of medical aid claim codes and PMB chronic rules
Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation

Extra points for

Wound care or family planning counselling short course
Experience with stock ordering through a wholesaler portal
Experience in a courier or chronic medication pharmacy
