Job Description

A manufacturing group with several sites in Krugersdorp needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a manufacturing group with several sites in Krugersdorp. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure

Must-haves

At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge

Extra points for

Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
