Job Description

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a group of private schools in Johannesburg CBD. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Johannesburg CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a group of private schools.

What you'll actually do

Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID

Must-haves

At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts

Extra points for

ITIL Foundation
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
