Mobile Developer (Flutter) – Fixed-Term

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at an e-commerce platform in Soweto. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at an e-commerce platform in Soweto. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
• Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
• Write unit and integration tests before you merge
• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs

• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
• Experience writing automated tests
• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript

• Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
• Public GitHub portfolio or published app
