Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Patch, monitor, back up and harden systems at a financial services company in Roodepoort. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Roodepoort; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins

• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
