Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: a bank's digital channels team in Randburg. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The site is in Randburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning

What you need

Experience writing automated tests
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript

Extra points for

Docker and Kubernetes experience
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
