Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a data centre in Tembisa. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a data centre in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules

Must-haves

Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Clear change management and documentation habits
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

Extra points for

Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
ISO 27001 audit experience
Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
