Job Description

Customers across Springs wait on your truck, so a frozen food distributor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a frozen food distributor on the Springs side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

You'll need

Valid PrDP for goods (G)
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Clean driving record

Extra points for

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Code 14 licence (a step up)
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
