Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cold-chain logistics fleet in Sandton is hiring. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet.

What your day looks like

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip

Must-haves

Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean criminal record

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Dangerous goods training certificate
Defensive driving course
