Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Kariega for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Kariega, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the load against invoices before signing it out

What you need

Friendly and professional with customers
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Clean driving record
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Nice if you have

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Code 14 licence (a step up)
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
