Job Description

Customers across Ermelo wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Ermelo, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route

What you need

At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods

Helpful, not essential

Speaking local languages on township routes
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Crane or HIAB operator certificate

What you get

Home every night
Delivery incentive per completed route
Overtime on month-end and peak days
Company-paid PrDP renewals

How to apply

Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): ID copy and proof of residence plus Code 10 licence and PrDP card copies.
Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 10 working days.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Ermelo; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

Applying is free. Nobody from How2Apply will ever ask you to pay for anything to get this job.

How to stand out

Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
