Job Description

Customers across Soweto wait on your truck, so a waste management contractor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Soweto (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

Must-haves

Friendly and professional with customers
Clean driving record
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

Nice if you have

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
