Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a frozen food distributor in Cape Town CBD. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll report in Cape Town CBD. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

What you need

Clean driving record
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

Helpful, not essential

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Speaking local languages on township routes
