Code 10 Furniture Delivery Driver

Home every night: a beverage wholesaler in Secunda needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Secunda-based, with most of your time spent at a beverage wholesaler. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets

• Clean driving record
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

• Speaking local languages on township routes
• Crane or HIAB operator certificate
• Code 14 licence (a step up)

• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Home every night

• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
