Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift)

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a road freight company in Secunda, keeping every trip on time. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in Secunda; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest

• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
