Job Description

Customers across Pietermaritzburg wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Pietermaritzburg (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day

What you need

Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Clean driving record
Friendly and professional with customers

Helpful, not essential

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
